 | LINEMicrofilm line number Availability1850: Both samples UniverseAll persons. DescriptionLINE gives the census-form line number of the randomly selected sample point that identifies the case. LINE can be used in conjunction with REEL, PAGESEQ, and PAGENO to locate and view the case as it appeared on the original 1860 and 1850 slave schedules. In cases where page numbers were stamped on every second page in 1860, line numbers 1-80 indicate the case appeared on the first page, and lines 81-160 indicate the case appeared on the second page.
