Codes

PRDATANU is a 1-digit numeric variable which identifies the particular sample from which the case was drawn. There are three samples: a 1-in-100 sample; an over-sample of households in the municipality of Loiza (an African-descent enclave); and an over-sample of households located in coffee regions. PRDATANU specific variable codes for missing, edited, or unidentified observations, observations not applicable (N/A), observations not in universe (NIU), top and bottom value coding, etc. are provided below by Census year (and data sample if specified).

PRDATANU Specific Variable Codes
1 = 10% Sample
2 = 20% Sample -- African descent region.
3 = 20% Sample -- Coffee region.
