Description
TOILET2 indicates the location and type of toilet facilities available for use by residents of the housing unit. For housing units with no available toilet facilities, this is also indicated. Users may also want to consult two related variables: TOILET and PLUMBING. TOILET indicates whether or not the unit has a flush toilet and is available for the 1960 U.S. Census, the 1970 U.S. and Puerto Rican Censuses and for the 1980-1990 Puerto Rican Censuses. PLUMBING is a closely related variable that reports access to running water, a flush toilet and a bathtub and/or shower and is available for the 1960 U.S. Census, the 1970 U.S. and Puerto Rican Censuses, the 1980-1990 U.S. Censuses, the 2000 U.S. and Puerto Rican Censuses, the ACS and the PRCS.
