Description

In November 2010, the Census Bureau released revised data for several years of the ACS due to errors. As part of this release, PHONE changed. We provide PHONEORIG so that users can analyze the differences in the revisions or replicate previous analyses. However, we recommend that users analyze the revised variable PHONE in their research. For more information about this revision, please see Erratum #64 on the ACS website.

Codes

This variable is not available for any of the currently selected samples.

Comparability

This variable is available only in the 2008 ACS/PRCS, and the 2006-8 multiyear ACS/PRCS, the years for which PHONE was revised.
