Description

For persons in full count census files other than 1910, LINK1910 indicates if that person is linked to the 1910 census. Linked persons receive a common Historical Identification Key (HIK) value across all censuses in which they are identified. See the HIK variable for more information.

For persons in the 1910 census, a LINK1910 value of 1 indicates that they are linked to another census year, and in some cases multiple census years.

Any associated LINK variables are automatically included in an extract request for linked census pairs specified on the sample selection screen.
