Description

HRSWORK2, like HRSWORK1, reports the total number of hours the respondent was at work during the previous week. It differs from HRSWORK1 in that responses are given in intervals (1-14 hours, 15-29 hours, and so on), instead of as a precise number of hours. This is because the 1960 and 1970 samples recorded hours worked last week only in intervals. For the other years contained in HRSWORK2 (1940, 1950, 1980, 1990), the exact number of hours worked is recorded in HRSWORK1.
