Description

NAGRIC is a neighborhood characteristic which reports the ratio of persons age 16 years old and over who are employed as farmers, farm managers, farm laborers, or farm foremen to the total number of employed persons age 16 and over for the neighborhood (population 16 years old and over employed as farmers, farm managers, farm laborers, or farm foremen / total employed persons 16 years old and over). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (decimal implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.

This variable is only available for the 1970 Neighborhood Samples (U.S. and Puerto Rico). NAGRIC is a 2-digit numeric variable which reports the ratio of persons age 16 years old and over who are employed as farmers, farm managers, farm laborers, or farm foremen to the total number of employed persons age 16 and over for the neighborhood (population 16 years old and over employed as farmers, farm managers, farm laborers, or farm foremen / total employed persons 16 years old and over).
