NFAMPOV is a neighborhood characteristic which reports the ratio of families with $15,000 or more in family income to the total number of families in the neighborhood (families with family income of $15,000 or higher / total families). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (decimal implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.

This variable is only available for the 1970 Neighborhood Samples (U.S. and Puerto Rico). NFAMPOV is a 2-digit numeric variable which reports the ratio of families with $15,000 or more in family income to the total number of families in the neighborhood (families with family income of $15,000 or higher / total families). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (two decimals implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.
