NOWNEROC is a neighborhood characteristic which reports the ratio of owner-occupied units to the total number of occupied units in the neighborhood (owner-occupied units / total occupied units). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (decimal implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.

This variable is only available for the 1970 Neighborhood Samples (U.S. and Puerto Rico). NOWNEROC is a 2-digit numeric variable which reports the ratio of owner-occupied units to the total number of occupied units in the neighborhood (owner-occupied units / total occupied units). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (two decimals implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.
