Description

NUNEMP is a neighborhood characteristic which reports the ratio of unemployed persons age 16 and over to the total civilian labor force age 16 and over in the neighborhood (unemployed persons 16 years old and over / total civilian labor force 16 years old and over). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (decimal implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.

Codes

This variable is only available for the 1970 Neighborhood Samples (U.S. and Puerto Rico). NUNEMP is a 2-digit numeric variable which reports the ratio of unemployed persons age 16 and over to the total civilian labor force age 16 and over in the neighborhood (unemployed persons 16 years old and over / total civilian labor force 16 years old and over). The ratio ranges from .00 to .99 (two decimals implied) with values rounded to the nearest decimal place.
