Description

SECHOME indicates whether any member of the household owned a second home (house, cottage, cabin, etc.), in which household members lived during any part of the year. Respondents were to exclude vacant trailers, tents, and boats, as well as second homes that were acquired only for investment purposes and were not used as residences by the owners.

Comparability

This variable is only available for 1970; not available for Puerto Rico.
