Description

VOCTRAIN indicates whether or not the respondent completed vocational training and is available for the 1970, 1980 and 1990 Puerto Rico samples.

The related variable, VOCTRTYP, indicates the main field (i.e., business, nursing, etc.) of vocational training for those respondents who completed vocational training (coded "1" in VOCTRAIN) and is available for the 1970 sample only. Another related variable, VOCSCTYP, indicates the type of vocational school respondents who had completed vocational training (coded "1" in VOCTRAIN) attended and is available for the 1980 and 1990 Puerto Rico samples.
