Description
VOCTRTYP indicates the main field (i.e., business, nursing, etc.) of vocational training for respondents who have completed vocational training, those with responses of "1" in the variable, VOCTRAIN.
While VOCTRAIN is available for the 1970, 1980 and 1990 Puerto Rico samples, VOCTRTYP is available only for the 1970 Puerto Rico sample. Users may also want to consult the related variable, VOCSCTYP, which indicates the type of vocational school respondents who had completed vocational training attended, and is available for the 1980 and 1990 Puerto Rico samples.
