Description
HOMESTAT provides state or country of origin information for Alaskan residents.
In 1900, residents of Alaska were asked their "Post-office address at home." This information was coded to the state, county, city, and minor civil division level. HOMESTAT includes codes for U.S. states and foreign countries.
Additional geographic detail is available in HOMECNTY, HOMECITY, and HOMEMCD.
