Description

OCC5YR95 is a recode of OCC5YR (occupation five years ago). OCC5YR95 reclassifies 1970 occupations into the 1950 classification scheme, to facilitate comparisons over time by imposing a standard occupational classification system. See OCC1950 and "Occupation Codes and Income Scores" for detailed discussion of the method used in recoding occupations.
