2018-Onward Industry Codes (IND)
This page presents the 2017 census industrial classification system recorded in the IPUMS variable IND for 2018-onward ACS/PRCS samples. The page shows each industry category and its corresponding IND code. The 2018-onward data also contain an alternative classification recorded in INDNAICS. In addition to these contemporary systems, the IPUMS codes all census years into the 1950 industry classification scheme, recording them in the variable IND1950.
